The rapid decline and death of a Wych Elm. A reminder of the transience of all things. An healthy tree expected to outlive us. Its leaves withered in mid July, decline was rapid and new shoots failed and by September it was dead. In October it was felled.

DEATH OF A WYCH

We decided to record its passing and took many many photographs and footage. This was a way of dealing with the loss and recording its beauty as it faded. See the memory at the Sitwell Rooms, Woodend as part of Coastival Festival, Scarborough.
