Saturday 2nd December
Again we will be using Chapel on the Hill as our WKRHQ. Some of us will be in there getting ready and changing into our Krampus fell (suit). A good chance to come and meet and greet some of our members and the faces behind the masks.
The venue will also be open from midday for the public and is serving hot drinks, apple strudel and other food and also now has a fully licensed bar.
Younger visitors to come and participate in some activities. You can get your face painted up all beastly, contribute to the cave painting, enjoy the magic tricks of our resident shamen, make Krampus Kards have your photo taken on the Krampus throne and meet Thee Gods and a chance to bag yourself some excellent official WKR loot. Having a roof over our heads here means we can be better prepared for weather that may not be in our favour....Sounds gut to uns.
Also at midday Krampusse will also be out and about around town with St. Niklaus to check in on everyones behaviour and make sure no one is being naughty. The Bandstand (YO21 3PZ) will also be another main location for Krampusse and where you will be able to purchase WKR merchandise which goes to help support the event. The Royal Hotel will also be open to visitors for drinks, food and a bit of shelter.
At 3.30pm the Krampus Parade will start from the Bandstand with the Whitby Pass and all the magickal beasts making their way up to the Whalebones, joined this year by Two Whitby Wyrms as our featured creatures. There will be SFX smoke and lights used on the parade.
Only registered members of WKR are permitted to be in the parade
Again for the finale at the Whalebones we are making a special request of you all....
Bring something you can make and racket with. Something to shake, bash, drum, blow or honk. Let's make an almighty noise for the finale at the Whalebones and drive that dark away.
Then we ask you to make your way safely to Dock End (YO21 1YN) by The Endeavour replica for an awesome display of Fire and Dance from our very special guests and friends Mister Fox.
MISTER FOX
