Leeds festival of Gothica Alternative Market is partnered with Advintageous vintage fairs and will be at Whitby Pavilion on the 23rd & 24th of April. The market will be packed with vendors of magickal paraphernalia, alternative fashion, children’s wear, dark homeware, antiquity and curio.

There will be a special section on alternative weddings led by the incredible Legend bridal. Sophie Lancaster Foundation will be in residence raising awareness of their campaign. You can book a reading with Madam Csazar & psychic medium Andrew Mather or see the resident astrologer Monks Astrology or discuss the paranormal with Kindred Spirit Investigations. Whitby Krampus Run aka Decadent Drawing will be holding bodging workshops.

There is a performance at 1.00pm by Byronic Sex and Exile. Tunes will be spun by Leeds krypt Kid steel_w00l The stage is being turned into a photo booth by West Yorkshire Playhouse costume hire, Couture Deville & Engineers Of Desire. They will be raising awareness of slow fashion and sustainability.

Demos will be occurring throughout the weekend by Swordpunk on the green above the pavilion. You can also book (at costume hire stand in the alternative market) a a 30 minute slot on the knife throwing range (with tuition) for £10.00


Leeds Festival of Gothica present the Macabre Matinee which is a darkly delicious family friendly film festival showing well loved creepy classics. It will be taking place at Whitby Pavilion on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th of April.

They are showing The Black Cauldron, MirrorMask, Legend, Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie, Labyrinth and Hocus Pocus. Please arrive ten mins before as the film will start at the specified time.
